Support Worker
I believe this course should be mandatory for all (Government Department) staff, including Management.
Support Worker
Excellent, would be relevant to ALL carers. Strength of course was the detail provided about mental disorders and practical DVDs. Makes you think about your approach towards people living with mental illness.
Support Worker
Very relevant to my job as well as outside of work.
HR Officer
Good course, relevant to work and life and a very positive experience. I would like more staff to able to complete this training. Really raised my awareness of mental health and mental illness and cleared up misunderstanding of mental health. A real strength was the presenters knowledge of mental health issues and how he interacted with the group.
Case Worker
The course was excellent, enjoyable and very powerful. Examining the myths and misconceptions about mental illness was a real strength of the two days.
Aged Care Worker
Mental Health First Aid was very relevant to my job and I would recommend it to others. A real strength of the course was the trainers training style, in particular the level of interaction between participants and with the trainer – Gerald was brilliant. Also impressive was the quality of the course manual and activities during the two days
